Whitmuir is a wet and windy 140 acre working farm situated 900 feet above sea level, on a north facing slope in the far corner of the Scottish Borders farmed organically. It is a tough environment!

Of paramount importance to us is the very best of animal husbandry, and to promote local produce.

At present we have 41 head of cattle, all traditional breeds including our newly acquired highland cows – Morag and Maggie-Moo, 9 Suffolk sheep who lambed earlier in 2023.

In addition to our farming ethos, the team at Whitmuir accommodate and actively seek, groups and individuals to either learn or empower them into employment and improve their mental health. We currently have a number of valued individuals who we closely mentor and support in different roles.
